What do I want you to know about me?
For me, the Mentoring program is a fantastic way to tap into the amazing knowledge, expertise and human capital we have at Similarweb. People play the most influential role in one’s growth, fulfillment and wellbeing at work. This has been especially true in my experience – I think of myself as a generalist, aka one of those people who are good at “just a little bit of everything”. This used to confuse me quite a bit, but with the help of mentors and peers, I’ve come to see this as a superpower 🙂 As a colleague and a mentor, I am an attentive listener and an observer, but also very pragmatic and adaptable, which helps me bring clarity to ambiguous situations. I also enjoy breaking big and complicated problems down to action plans with clear milestones.
What will the sessions look like?
In our sessions, I can help mentees organize their thoughts, crystallize and better understand the essence of a problem or an aspiration, and come up with actions and milestones that help drive accountability and progress towards a goal. I can also share practical tools that have helped me and my team members in the past, across any of the topics suggested for mentoring.
As a mentee, you will commit to:
Bring honesty, curiosity, and humor into the sessions. It’s OK if there is not 100% clarity in regards to a specific goal. Some of the best learning happens in exploration mode!
